I’m curious to know how much per mile you would be willing to drive for as an Uber driver. I know it depends on many factors, such as location, demand, surge pricing, expenses, etc. But let’s say you have a choice to accept or decline any ride request based on the estimated fare per mile. What would be your minimum threshold?
For me, I would not drive for less than $1.5 per mile. Anything below that is not worth it for me, considering the wear and tear on my car, the gas prices, the taxes, and the time spent. I think that’s a fair rate for both me and the rider.
What about you? How do you decide whether to accept or decline a ride request based on the fare per mile? Please share your thoughts and experiences.
